Engineering and science operations at PA Consulting
I work where science becomes product: labs, product development, and advanced manufacturing, and the operating model that holds them together.
Science and engineering facilities: the people, kit and digital layer that turn experiments into decisions.
Taking complex products from concept through development with pace and rigour, not theatre.
Getting discovery onto the line: industrialising what works so it ships under real constraints.
# newman.sh - named like a Linux shell script $ file ~/bin/run.sh run.sh: Bourne-Again shell script, ASCII text executable $ cat ~/bin/run.sh #!/usr/bin/env bash ./build && ./test && ./ship # exit 0 # Short. Technical. Meant to run.
On Linux, .sh is a shell script: a small programme you execute to get something done.
newman.sh is the same idea. Not a portfolio. A starting point you can run from.
I lead the Design, Engineering and Science operation at PA Consulting, part of Jacobs. The work sits where science meets product: faster cycles from lab to line, without losing rigour.
Earlier career in cyber and high assurance technology, and technical roles across telecoms, software and security engineering.
I write and host Drive-Thru with Alex: short takes on technology, design and innovation.
The bottleneck is rarely the experiment. It is the speed of the decision that follows it.
A twin that does not change a decision is a model, not a tool.
Global expertise only wins under local constraints: sovereign, secure, and still commercial.
